Management & teams

SIB is organised around a central core of almost 200 employees and a network of 600 affiliated members, based in the country's major academic institutions.

Our teams and employees are structured along three key activities:

  • Developing the SIB Resources through employees in our Swiss-Prot group or embedded in affiliated research groups;
  • Providing services and expertise to academia and the industry through our competence centres;
  • Coordinating data, projects and the whole SIB community to enable scientists to focus on research.
